An Accommodation Review is a process undertaken by a school board to determine the future of a school or group of schools. The Limestone District School Board process is defined in Board Policy 15: Pupil Accommodation Review, Administrative Procedure 120: Pupil Accommodation Review and Ministry of Education Pupil Accommodation Review Guide 2015.
The process is initiated by an Initial Staff Report and approval by the Board of Trustees to conduct a Pupil Accommodation Review.
An approved Pupil Accommodation Review will include:
-
The presentation of the Final Staff Report to the School Enrolment/School Capacity Committee of the Whole Board (SE/SCC). The Report includes the feedback from the PARC, the public and the affected municipality and community partners;
-
A School Enrolment/School Capacity Committee of the Whole Board (SE/SCC) meeting to hear delegations;
-
A SE/SCC recommended decision, with regard to the accommodation review, to be forwarded to the next Board meeting;
-
Board decision regarding the accommodation review;
-
Communication of the decision; and
-
The establishment of an Integration Committee, if appropriate.
