We want to reassure families that students are well prepared and ready to show what they have learned. The most important support we can provide at both school and home is to remind them to take their time, do their best, and not to worry. These assessments are just one opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning, and we are incredibly proud of the growth, effort, and perseverance they have shown throughout the year. </span><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Families of Grade 3 and 6 students are asked to pay careful attention to the times that their class will be writing EQAO and avoid absences where possible.</strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> We do have two dates scheduled as make up dates if needed.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The School Council is hosting their annual Fun Fair on Monday, June 1st from 5 pm to 7 pm. The flyers with information on the Fun Fair were sent home via email and hard copy last week. There are TONS of fun activities and events happening at the Fun Fair! Last week, the students were able to enjoy a FANTASTIC drumming performance by Fano Solo. This performance was generously funded by the Kingston-Cataraqui Rotary Club. It has been amazing to have the opportunity to bring in these arts performances this Spring.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The students had a wonderful day at the Odessa PS Track and Field Meet last Monday. It was fantastic wonderful to see so many students participating and enjoying a day of physical activity. Our primary students are busy collecting kilometres for their mini marathons. We are looking forward to celebrating their success at the beginning of June. It was a great success and we had over thirty new Junior Kindergartens come to visit the school in preparation to start in the Fall.
