News From the Tiger’s Den - June 1st to June 5th

Dear Tiger Families, <img src="/images/12495789-efc0-481f-9f64-5e60a93ccf90?fingerprint=ppb20260529165634" alt="2026June1" width="349" height="465" style="width:349px;height:465px;display:inline-block;float:right">Happy Monday! Today is a BIG day. We have the mini marthon final run for our Grade 1 and 2 students this afternoon. This will be followed on Monday night with the FUN FAIR from 5 to 7 pm. These should both be fantastic events. We hope to see you there!The Grade five and six students had a wonderful time at the Blue Jays Game last week. It was a long day in the hot sun but the students were all smiles sharing about the trip on Thursday. Thanks to Mrs. Allen, Mr. Legge, Mme Morrow, and Ms. Coulas for organizing such a fun adventure.Over the next two weeks, our Grade 3 and 6 students will be participating in the EQAO Primary and Junior assessments. We want to reassure families that students are well prepared and ready to show what they have learned. The most important support we can provide at both school and home is to remind them to take their time, do their best, and not to worry. These assessments are just one opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning, and we are incredibly proud of the growth, effort, and perseverance they have shown throughout the year. Families of Grade 3 and 6 students are asked to pay careful attention to the times that their class will be writing EQAO and avoid absences where possible. The flyers with information on the Fun Fair were sent home via email and hard copy last week. There are TONS of fun activities and events happening at the Fun Fair! Bracelets for the Fun Fair can be purchased on School Day in advance or at the Fun Fair. Please consider donating a jar filled with something to the JARS, JARS, JARS fundraiser (more information in a flyer below). News From the Tiger’s Den - May 18th to 22nd

Dear Tiger Families, <img src="/images/a15db1d4-0a0d-497b-9a19-13da9c0cd1ed?fingerprint=ppb20260519121836" alt="2026May20" width="356" height="475" style="width:356px;height:475px;display:inline-block;float:right">I hope that everyone had a wonderful long weekend and go to enjoy some time outside. Last week, the students were able to enjoy a FANTASTIC drumming performance by Fano Solo. This performance was generously funded by the Kingston-Cataraqui Rotary Club. It has been amazing to have the opportunity to bring in these arts performances this Spring.The students had a wonderful day at the Odessa PS Track and Field Meet last Monday. It was fantastic wonderful to see so many students participating and enjoying a day of physical activity. Our primary students are busy collecting kilometres for their mini marathons. We are looking forward to celebrating their success at the beginning of June. Stay tuned for more information on this initiative.Best of luck to our Junior Soccer teams that will compete at the LESAA tournament this week. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) - Seeking Expression of Interest

<h2 class="editor-heading-h2">Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is Seeking Expression of Interest</h2>The Limestone District School Board is seeking expressions of interest from <a href="about:blank" class="editor-link">individuals</a><a href="#_msocom_1" class="editor-link">[EL1]</a>  interested in joining the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) in support of the ongoing Student Census 2025 project.The purpose of the Technical Advisory Group is to provide advice, perspectives, and recommendations related to the design of data collection methods, analysis, and the representation of results for LDSB’s Student Census. TAG plays a critical role in ensuring that multiple and diverse perspectives are applied to the interpretation of data, helping to minimize bias and strengthen the relevance and integrity of findings.We are seeking expressions of interest for the committee for the September 2026 to August 2028 term.  We welcome expressions of interest from all members of the Limestone community, including those who can help us fill the following vacancies:<ul class="editor-list-ul"><li value="1" class="editor-listitem">One to two parents of a Limestone student(s) who is not an employee of the LDSB</li><li value="2" class="editor-listitem">A Limestone school administrator</li><li value="3" class="editor-listitem">One or more Limestone secondary students</li><li value="4" class="editor-listitem">One community partner member who works alongside LDSB</li></ul>Experience in data collection, analysis, and/or reporting of identity‑based data is encouraged; however, individuals with a broad range of research or analysis backgrounds and/or lived experiences are encouraged to apply.
