2026May12 Our Tiger Running Team competed on a rainy Wednesday at the LCVI Road Race. All of our Tiger Runners competed with resilience and a positive attitude. Top performers in each division are listed below.

Minor Atom Girls: Dakota M 32nd Atom Girls: Gwen P 22nd

Minor Atom Boys: Lucas M 52nd Atom Boys: Teddy G 43rd

Bantam Girls: Hannah C 4th, Addison K 22nd

Bantam Boys: Scyler B

This brings the Road Racing season to an end! We look forward to moving on now to Track & Field. Reminder that Odessa Track and Field Day is on Monday, May 11th. Special thanks to Mrs. Carrier and Ms. Young for coaching the runners to excellent results this season.

Both of our Junior Basketball Teams competed in the LESAA Junior tournament on Thursday. Each team won two out of their three games. The teams demonstrated excellent improvement over the season. We are very proud of how they represented our school at the tournament. Special thanks to Mrs. Watkins and Mr. Legge for coaching the teams.

We were excited to host our "Welcome to Kindergarten" event on Wednesday evening. It was a great success and we had over thirty new Junior Kindergartens come to visit the school in preparation to start in the Fall. Families had the opportunity to see both Kindergarten rooms, as well as attend a presentation done by myself and Mrs. Bush. We are looking forward to welcoming them to the Tiger Team next year!

On Friday, we had our May Success Assembly. We celebrated the success of our Junior Basketball Team, the Road Race Team. There were a number of "Tigers in the Spotlight" this month. Congratulations to all 18 Tigers that were recognized- we are VERY proud of you!!!

The Limestone District School Board’s Family Engagement and Climate Survey is now live and we invite families to share their experiences with their student’s school and with the school board. Your feedback helps Limestone understand what is working well and where we can improve, and supports welcoming, safe, and supportive school communities. The survey is open from April 30 to May 11 and is available online. Paper copies are also available at your school’s administrative office.
