Dear Tiger Families,

2026January9 I hope that you had a wonderful snow-filled weekend! While we hope to have a full week of school this week with no bus cancellations, we did want to remind families of the importance of going into safe arrival and marking your child(ren) absent due to inclement weather on bus cancellation days. Regardless of whether your child(ren) take the bus or walk to school, they still must be marked absent by a family member on bus cancellation days. As part of our Safe Arrival process, school staff must account for all students even on bus cancellation days. Thank you for your ongoing support with this.

Given the number of Snow Days that have effected our new hot lunch program this year, we inquired with Lunchbox about whether we can cancel hot lunch on a bus cancellation day. Moving forward, we will email families on the morning of full Limestone Schools bus cancellations that we have cancelled hot lunch for the day. There will be a credit on your Lunchbox account each time that we cancel. Please remember that if you purchased hot lunch then you will need to send your child to school with a lunch on the days that there is a full bus cancellation.

There are important flyers from Southeast Public Health regarding the upcoming Dental Screening at Odessa, as well as an Immunization Clinic on the PA Day in the update this week. If you received a notice that your child needs updated immunizations, this clinic is an excellent opportunity to get this done prior to the school exclusion date in the Spring.

This week is "Bell Let's Talk" Day. This is an excellent opportunity to open important conversations about mental health. We will be exploring this topic at school but we also encourage you to have open dialogue at home.
